The region boats a range of companies supplying the rail industry; from the manufacture railway rolling stock superstructure and components, and specialist rail workshop equipment, mechanical handling and control equipment, to high quality lighting systems, corrosion protection, springs, braking and climate control systems.

The Sheffield region is the UK’s home of advanced manufacturing and has a long history of engineering and manufacturing, with an increasingly diverse, flexible and skilled workforce.

The region has a very strong advanced engineering and metals cluster, encompassing entire industries from steel and other metals and alloy processing, to manufacturing world leading products for sectors including aerospace, automotive and household appliances.

The regions unique selling points include; a skilled and available workforce; world-leading companies and globally recognised academic institutions.
